Ector Hoogstad Architecten has completed the "world's largest bicycle park."
The development is located below the Utrecht Central Station in the Netherlands and it is sure to bring a number of beneficial qualities to the city and the area. For one, the implementation of a bicycle park will assure that individuals can safely "ride from the street level to the bike store," while also having the option to access the station. Secondly, the project will also work to decrease congestions in the area and, as an added bonus, it surely promotes a more sustainable lifestyle for citizens.
The bicycle park can store up to 12,656 two-wheelers. In addition to the handy parking spaces, cyclists can enjoy a repair service and a "bicycle hire outlet" for ease of convenience.
