The 'Supre Drive' is a novel bicycle drivetrain that is designed to smoothly move bicycle chains between their sprockets whilst offering increased protection from side impacts as well as ground contact.
What makes the 'Supre Drive' bicycle drivetrain unique is the fact that it is located to one side of the bicycle cassette, whilst the inclusion of a standalone tension mechanism allowing for consistent tension in a variety of riding situations.
Elsewhere, this bicycle drivetrain is significantly lighter than both conventional derailleurs as well as gearbox-situated alternates, which allows it to more efficiently convey the riders' physical efforts into movement.
Developed by Canadian engineer Cedric Eveleigh, the 'Supre Drive' is set to be offered for sale by Lal Bikes in 2023. Given the fact that it's not designed to be retrofitted, the 'Supre Drive' is rather poised to be embedded into bicycles by manufacturers themselves.
