Many people opt to skip breakfast in exchange for a little extra sleep, but Second Cup's new Better For You menu hopes to get people back into that morning meal with healthy and delicious items.
It's long been an axiom of nutrition that breakfast is the most important meal of the day. Yet breakfast is also surely the most common meal to forgo. What many people can't afford to skip during their morning routine is a coffee, and so Second Cup has introduced its Better For You menu as a way to get people eating healthy habitually.
The menu includes two smoothies (the Strawberry Banana Glow and Green Mango Boost); the Egg White, Kale, and Feta Breakfast Wrap (which comes with sun-dried and fresh tomatoes); and the Overnight Oat and Chia Seeds (served with yogurt.)
