Arcade Inspired Photography

Bernard Arce set out to create images which combine elements of the Mass Media and 1990s culture, and place them with a backdrop of a particular city to see how they are represented. In this case the location is the Main Justice Court of San Jose, Costa Rica.

Bernard Arce’s photos bring back memories of long, quarter-depleting, Mortal Kombat nights in the arcade. They capture the fun and excitement of 1990s video game entertainment via real humans.
