Although it might seem as though Ben & Jerry's has created a line of feminist ice creams, it's actually a creative and clever concept by writer Amanda McCall. She imagines what flavors would be like if inspired by some of the most prominent women in the world including Oprah Winfrey, Hillary Clinton, Beyonce Knowles and Mindy Kaling.
Since Ben & Jerry's has created some very unique flavors in the past to pay tribute to different things, it's not completely bizarre to think of fun options in this way. After all, referring to buzz topics is something many brands are trying to do to stay on top of the competition and appeal to consumers in more appealing ways. It doesn't hurt that the feminist Ben & Jerry's flavors are tried and true.
