Silly Sand Sleeping Photography

This photographic series contains beach candids of people visited by the Sandman. Captured and conceived by Lithuanian photographer Tadao Cern, the shots demonstrate men and women of varying ages and body types asleep at the beach. 'Comfort Zone' shows how at home the subjects feel sleeping in a public place. The series is completely unstaged, revealing the innocent and silly side of human beings.

The slightly awkward positioning results in a picture set that is humorous and erring on ridiculous. The beach candids each tell a different story as the people are sprawled on their towels and mats. As the winter weather quickly approaches, these sunny shots are certainly worth perusing and may result in nostalgic memories of naps taken this past summer.
