BatteryBot Meshes Electronics with Adorable Anime
References: mimoco & kickstarter
These animated battery packs could easily be mistaken as toys. Boston-based company Mimoco morphs art and tech together with BatteryBots -- the first ever to put a face to a charging device. Meshing a fun aesthetic design with functionality, BatteryBots makes charging your cellphone or tablet more exciting.
With more and more wireless devices on our hands and less time to stay stationed in one spot, external batteries are becoming a staple item for those who are on the go. External batteries are usually bland in design -- colorful at most,-- so why not infuse a little bit of fun into something you'll be using every day?
So far, there are ten basic BatteryBot characters available, but Mimoco says it plans to adopt familiar characters like Pokemon, Spongebob and minions. BatteryBots is currently raising funds on Kickstarter.
