'The Bride' is a vertical city that isn't going to be located in London, Paris or New York but in the Iraqi city of Basra. The development's name is drawn from Basra's reputation as 'the bride of the gulf' thanks to its fertile lands that support plenty of life.
The development is designed to make highly efficient use of space. Covering an area of 1,550,000 square meters, The Bride is a vertical city rather than a typical tower, and it will attain a world record height of 1,152 meters -- which will not overshadow surrounding innovations.
The very fact that The Bride will enable the Iraqi city of Basra to be the home of the world's tallest skyscraper is pretty notable, and the eco-friendly and high-tech features of this building will mark it out as one of humanity's greatest architectural developments.
