YoonJung Heo has used the great American pastime of baseball as inspiration for her Baseball Furniture. The aptly named set of furniture consists of a lounge chair with an accompanying table featuring a flipping top. Apart, the two pieces look like any other modern design, but combined, they form the shape and stitches of a baseball.
Heo's Baseball Furniture is designed for use in airports. Airports are known for their unattractive and often uninviting furniture. A design such as this would go a long way in modernizing even the most aged and retro airports in the U.S. This design could even be taken a step further, with certain airports featuring Baseball Furniture branded by the local big league team.
