In an effort to help consumers content with the grocery shortages caused by COVID-19, the Tokyo-based food tech company Base Food has launched a new direct-to-consumer product called 'Base Bread.'
Base Bread is a frozen bread product that can be shipped directly to consumers. Base Bread is described as a fully nutritional bread made from healthy ingredients, such as whole wheat, rice bran, chia seeds, chicory root, eggs, and kelp. The bread is also packed with 26 kinds of vitamins and minerals, including 13.5 grams of protein, and more than three grams of dietary fiber per roll.
With consumers in need of flexible and healthy meal options during COVID-19, Base Bread is an innovative new way to enjoy bread.
