Most brands want to see consumers using their products and services anywhere and everywhere as much as possible, but these comical bank ads from FirstBank promote a slightly different message.
With a lumberjack, a matador, a surgeon and other illustrated characters on billboards, FirstBank aims to prove how accessible its app by communicating that: "You can bank anywhere. But don't." Each of the humorous billboards depicts a potentially dangerous situation that could arise from app use in an inappropriate place—for instance, a lifeguard who is so fixated on his phone that he fails to see a swimmer in need of aid just behind him.
Consumers who use mobile devices for everything from shopping to banking will appreciate the exaggerated message that a FirstBank account can be accessed from just about anywhere.
