Mark Badgley and James Mishka may have tied the knot in March, but they finally went on their honeymoon and came back with a stunning fashion line in mind: the Badgley Mischka Pre-Fall 2014 collection. Vacationing in Rome, they infused it with museums’ and palazzos’ golden hues, baroque textures and rich fabrics for a series of gowns that are fit for the princess. It might even make Kate Middleton stray away from Alexander McQueen and Jenny Packham for a moment.
Although there are simpler dresses in the Badgley Mischka Pre-Fall 2014 collection, overall there is a feel of luxury and ornateness that has always been associated with the brand. The silhouettes themselves are pretty straightforward as well from aline to mermaid and sheath. WWD notes that it's "part monastic, part young Gina Lollobrigida."
