Vogue's Editor-In-Chief and fashion legend Anna Wintour has joined sports label Nike for the first time ever to give her iconic "AWOK" to its sneakers. AWOK is a script that is recognized in the fashion industry as Wintour's stamp of approval -- meaning "Anna Wintour Okay." She joins Nike's Jordan Brand to adorn four sneakers with the approving stamp for the ultimate collaborative high-fashion sneaker. The two silhouettes are the Air Jordan 1 and the Air Jordan 3 -- with the Air Jordan 1s available in sail and university red, and the Air Jordan 3s in black tweed and red tweed.
The AJ1 sneakers are finished in a soft leather and uppers with an attention-grabbing zipper enclosure and a Nike Air tag that reads "Edited by Vogue," along with the AWOK signature, found on the tongue and its sole. The AJ3 sneakers are crafted with a tweed case and black heels as a reference to Wintour's classic sunglasses and Chanel tweed suits. Each pair comes within a premium box and two dust bags constructed from suede.
