Autumn in the North is Barcelona-based interior designer Susanna Cots' latest project. The dwelling expertly blends wooden accents and a paired back color palette to evoke strong modern sensibilities. Very few instances of darker materials are employed throughout the home—one, for example, is the slick black kitchen island that produces an interesting accent. The notion of connectivity throughout the home—both physical and metaphorical—is accented by design choices that leave the space open. For instance, there is a raised wooden platform on the premises that "becomes the perfect reading nook for the children of the house," while the kitchen and dining area are open concept. The inclusion of a massive skylight in the kitchen area creates a welcoming ambiance. Autumn in the North is located in Navarra, Spain.
