Upon receiving the letter, potential students are invited to scan the QR code on WeChat, prompting the download of the university's accompanying AR app. Using the phone's camera, students applicants are able to see a "virtual model of the university, including information about its history and find out more about its aeronautical, astronautical and marine engineering fields — subjects which the school is famous for."
