I've been to my fair share of musicals, but never have I had the pleasure of enjoying an opera. Not that I've been avoiding it or anything--but if I was, perhaps the Attila set design would draw me in, if the music can't.
Designed by Herzog and de Meuron, I never realized that architects would take on such different projects. Staged at the Metropolitan Opera, the Attila set design is pretty impressive. Transforming from rubble to lush gardens, check out the images above.
