The ASICS Shanghai flagship store aims to help consumers not only while they're in the store, but also during the months following their visits. The store has two specialized, proprietary experiences within it that help to ensure each consumer makes the right purchase for their body and training style.
For athletes of any skill level and physical ability, running shoes aren't a purchase to make lightly. Getting an ill-fitting shoe or a pair with the wrong type of support for the wearer's running form can lead to injuries in the future. As such, the ASICS Shanghai flagship has systems to make sure that that doesn't happen.
The first of the two systems is a 3D foot-scanner called 'Foot ID' that gives a precise measuring of one's foot and suggests shoe options. The second is called 'Running Lab,' and it's a connected treadmill that offers scientific analysis of the consumer's running style and ability.
