Surreal Human Sculptures (UPDATE)

Artist Anders Krisar Focuses on Imaginative Anatomy

It is undeniable that the work of artist Anders Krisar is surreal. Fleshing out his portfolio since 2010, no pun intended, he has since created sculptures that boggle the mind even more. His sculptures involving halved men who have been flipped so as to hold their own hands is particularly arresting, if not entirely disturbing.

Based in Stockholm, Sweden, artist Anders Krisar essentially explores the fragility of the human body. This is further shown in his depiction of a face created out of various pills. Aside from that one sculpture, his creation are so realistic, it is hard not to shudder when gazing upon them.

Yet for all of his realism, artist Anders Krisar thrives off of the impossible.
