Bryan Boyer, an assistant professor in the Taubman College of Architecture and Urban Planning over at the University of Michigan, has launched an innovative new architecture app that is designed to make it easier than ever for designers to go about incorporating images and renderings of people into their graphical depictions of architectural spaces.
The 'People Party!' app allows users to go about accessing an automatically generated database of human figures based on U.S. Census Bureau data about the particular city or town of interest. Users can search for individuals with specific poses as well as advanced filters such as age.
By using evidence-based diversity to create representative depictions of people for architectural renderings, this architecture app helps designers and architects do a better job of conveying how the spaces that they're designing will serve the needs of people and communities.
