References: poltronafrau
The Archibald Delicate Balance Limited Edition by Shepard Fairey is a special edition armchair created by Italian furniture brand Poltrona Frau in collaboration with the American street artist Shepard Fairey. The project reinterprets the Archibald armchair originally designed in 2009 by Jean-Marie Massaud. Fairey’s artwork is applied across the chair as a symbolic composition centered on a female figure representing Mother Nature surrounded by birds and flowers. The limited edition forms part of Poltrona Frau’s 2026 collection theme “True Over Time” and will debut during Salone del Mobile in Milan.
The chair uses digitally printed Pelle Frau ColorSphere Impact Less leather layered with multiple colors to reproduce the artwork across the upholstery. Select areas incorporate 3D embossing that creates raised texture within the printed image. Production is limited to 200 numbered pieces. Each armchair includes a polished brass plaque and a certificate of authenticity signed by Shepard Fairey and the CEO of Poltrona Frau.
