At SXSW 2019 in Austin, Salesforce gave people the chance to experience the way it is reshaping the product discovery process with AR sunglasses and its shopping app. On the screen of a large, smartphone-shaped display, event-goers were able to see themselves in a variety of different eyewear styles—without actually having to try on a single physical pair. As well as assisting consumers, this tool has the potential to save retailers the hassle of constantly clearing eyewear styles of fingerprints and smudges.
Thanks to newly added augmented reality app features, users are now able to quickly and conveniently try on various styles of sunglasses. The updated app also includes an artificial intelligence chatbot to assist with various customer queries and requests, such as helping with last-minute delivery address changes.
