Coca-Cola is now inviting consumers to interact with its cans like never before, thanks to its interactive AR soda packaging. In collaboration with Ogilvy Mexico and VFX house Timber, Coca-Cola created 12 stories to share with fans using a fun cast of animated characters. Each short and sweet story plays out in a way that involves an exchange that uplifts others by sharing a Coke.
While one of the augmented reality scenes depicts a couple at the movies, another shows rival soccer fans coming together. In each of these AR scenes, a physical can of Coke becomes the backdrop for these stories to unfold. While these scenarios could have played out in animated videos, the AR format invites consumers to see the stories in three dimensions.
