Cheatwell's App-Player Board Game is Enhanced with Mobile Devices
Laura McQuarrie — March 3, 2015 — Life-Stages
Although the idea of cracking out a board game may seem archaic to some, App-Player from Cheatwell Games appeals to kids of the digital age.
Rather than being loaded with physical question cards that are often lost, damaged, easily memorized or outdated, App-Player has players download App-Games onto either an iPhone or Android device. From there, virtual game cards are displayed, challenging players to rounds of trivia, singing, dancing and other zany activities. There are some physical components to the game, but these are mostly for scorekeeping purposes. Since app integration is such a huge part of the game, one of the best features of App-Player is that it supports updates like new challenges and questions, as well as any new App-Games to be added to the mix in the future.
