Carl's Jr.'s recently announced that it will begin selling antibiotic-free turkey burgers. The move comes of the heels of a growing consumer demand for more natural fast food offerings and greater brand transparency.
The 'All-Natural Turkey Burgers' as they have been dubbed, feature charbroiled turkey burger patties that are made from the meat of turkeys raised without antibiotics. The new burgers come in three different varieties: the Original, the Jalapeno and the Teriyaki. The Original is topped with a classic combination of lettuce, tomato, red onion and dill pickle chips. On the other hand, the Jalapeno features spicy toppings such as sliced jalapenos, pepper Jack cheese and fiery Santa Fe sauce. Finally, the Teriyaki comes with grilled pineapple, Swiss cheese, teriyaki sauce and other vegetables. Each burger is served on a toasted honey wheat bun and comes in at under 500 calories.
The new antibiotic-free turkey burgers ultimately provide a healthier and more natural option for health-conscious consumers.
