Redefined Sculptural Games

Another Kingdom Backgammon Set Thinks of Gameplay as Collectible Art

The Another Kingdom backgammon set by Bangkok-based artist Taras Yoom transforms a centuries-old game into a sculptural centerpiece. Part of his Yoomoota collection, the set is limited to just 21 editions and crafted through a layered process that combines 3D printing, molding, casting, and detailed acrylic painting. Every element, from the board to the dice and sculptural checkers, has been designed as both functional and artistic, positioning the work between a luxury object and a collectible artwork.

Each piece contains an embedded NFC chip that provides digital authentication and provenance. The board’s surface reflects rhythm and chance, while the custom dice and intricate tokens embody Yoom’s vision of order and unpredictability. A bespoke metal stand elevates the board for display, reinforcing its dual role as game and art. The Another Kingdom backgammon set embodies narrative, craftsmanship, and innovation, inviting owners to engage with design in both play and exhibition.
