Living Paper Shredders

I'm not sure how much energy is saved by using the Animal Paper Shredder versus a regular paper shredder, but I guess any amount helps. This living paper shredder is part of an art exhibit that is currently on display at La Lorbal University in Spain.

This mice-powered shredder is simple and easy to use. Simply put your document into the cage and watch the animals go to work. I could see the Animal Paper Shredder being used in the offices of eco-conscious businesses and pet-lovers. Check it out in the gallery above.
