Cinematic Drive-In Paintings

Andrew Valiko Recreates Famous Films Screenings Using Realism

Artist Andrew Valko created these stunning hyperrealistic paintings showcase various stills from popular films playing at a drive-in movie theatre. The illustrations capture the whimsy and candidness of taking a car to a drive through late at night to enjoy viewing a film.

Valko is a Czech artist that is known for his realism style that portrays incredible detail in portraits and landscapes. These images highlight films such as Gone, Closer, The Girl Next Door and Mr. and Mrs. Smith as shown on a drive-in film screen surrounded by park cars at dusk. The images capture small details such as license plates of the cars, facial expressions and the soft background lights in such a way that the paintings look more so like photographs than works of art.
