Your refreshments will never get lost with these clever cup coasters. Artist Anders Hansen has designed these innovative mug rugs after becoming inspired by city street maps. Hansen saw beauty in the bustling lines and shapes of city infrastructure blueprints, and decided to make a solid structure out of them.

As he was living in Oslo, Norway, Anders Hansen decided to focus first on that city as his map muse. He studied sections of the city map, and carefully illustrated the lines he saw. Once these illustrations were imported into computer programs, Hansen was able to make his drawings 3-D. These images were then transformed into stunning ceramic coasters which are abstractly beautiful.

These clever coaster by Anders Hansen would make perfect presents for avid travelers or native residents of the city. These posh pieces make city streets sippable.
