Allbirds Show How Lightweight Their Shoes are with Balloons
Ellen Smith — December 1, 2020 — Marketing
In an effort to shoe how light its shoes are, Allbirds are tying them to balloons. As a direct-to-consumer brand, it's important to build loyalty, and to be as transparent as possible. Because consumers can't go into physical storefronts, it can be a struggle to convey just how wonderful a product is.
Allbirds used a product demo to solve this problem, highlighting the lightweight nature of the shoes by allowing them to be lifted by just four standard balloons. The dramatic and minimalist ad features the shoes floating in the air with the assistance of the balloons. set against a black backdrop, the view is able to witness just how light the wool runners really are.
