Artists Alexandra Eldridge and Predrag Pajdic have teamed up for a bold and beautiful series of glass plates. Inspired by the beauty of life, the artists explore universal themes of life and death for their upcoming joint exhibition in Bangkok.
Eldridge was given a series of vintage plates, which she later altered with the help of Pajdic. These plates are adorned with images that depict fairy-like children from the 1900s. Unsigned and undated, these antique dishes have an air of mystery and allure associated with them. Originally decaying and in bad condition, the plates were refurbished back to their haunting and alluring original state.
Filled with charm and history, these bold glass plates serve as inspiration behind a series of drawings, paintings and collages, created by the artistic duo. Exploring important life events, the stunning works of Alexandra Eldridge and Predrag Pajdic reveal that there is beauty in unexpected places.
