Tribute Designer Rugs

The Alexander McQueen Rug is Up for Sale

Prior to his tragic death, Alexander McQueen had been hard at work designing his fashion collections as well as collaborating with The Rug Company. Alexander McQueen and The Rug Company have worked together for three years to generate six unique designs.

Taking inspiration from military designs and McQueen's famous skull patterns, all the rugs were constructed with cashmere and silk and are hand-knotted for supreme quality and craftsmanship.

Implications - Artists are becoming more than people who create designs. Consumers are becoming more integrated with popular figures and identify themselves through these names. Companies could grow their brand by focusing on this desire for a closer relationship with designers in order to please more shoppers.
