Airport Sherpa is a new app that offers busy travelers a complete concierge service. The app lets those in a hurry order food and buy souvenirs or duty free items from their phone. Items can be delivered immediately to the gate or at a pre-selected time. This allows those who plan ahead to schedule an order, thus eliminating the need to stand in lines at restaurants and duty free stores.
In addition to delivering food and goods the Airport Sherpa app also promises exclusive deals and access to airline lounges. Unlike other apps that use contracted couriers, it seems as if Airport Sherpa would have to work with staff already employed in the airport due to security concerns. The Airport Sherpa app is available to download now for iOS and is coming soon for Android, although there are no partner airports and stores listed on its site at the moment.
