Airport Robotaxi Pickups

Waymo Extends Its Las Vegas Robotaxi Network to Harry Reid Airport

Waymo is extending its Las Vegas robotaxi network to Harry Reid International Airport, where riders can now book trips to and from the airport rather than ending their journeys elsewhere in the city. The service uses designated pickup and drop-off areas at the airport and will start with a small group of riders before expanding to all customers.

The airport stops are at Terminal 1 and Terminal 3, linking flight travelers to the same self-driving operation Waymo opened to the public in Las Vegas in September. That network already covers 24 square miles, and the airport addition makes Las Vegas the sixth major airport in Waymo's lineup.

Terminal-based pickup spots make airport access a clearer part of a robotaxi trip, easing the handoff between city and air travel. As Waymo's sixth airport location, the Las Vegas expansion also intensifies competition with Zoox at the same airport.
