The design team at Teague came up with what they believe will be an aviation reality in just a short decade. The design agency is centered around noting that complacent industries, like airlines, will quickly be taken out by more innovative competitors.
The Poppi airline of the future would be app-connected -- pinging flyers' phones when their sections are boarding, providing online chats for seat swapping or ticket re-sales and monitoring digitally-connected baggage.
Making comparisons to industries like hotel and taxi businesses, Teague notes that similar consumer-focused companies like Uber and Airbnb will enter the market and dominate because they no longer underachieve and overcharge.
