AI Payroll Dashboards

Gusto Rebuilds Gusto Pro Around a Multi-Client AI Assistant

Gusto is rebuilding 'Gusto Pro' with AI-assisted workflows that handle core payroll prep, surface changes since the last run, and route reports for review. The accounting platform is built for firms, and the update adds a multi-client assistant and a simplified dashboard to reduce manual busywork.

The new setup also integrates with Gmail and Outlook, so hours, reimbursements, and deductions can flow into payroll from the tools accountants already use. Gusto says 'Pro Gus,' its AI assistant, answers client questions and shows a firm across its entire book of business, while automated reporting consolidates recurring reports in one place.

Gusto's multi-client Model Context Protocol is now available to accounting firms, and the redesigned Gusto Pro is in early access for eligible partners. That rollout gives firms a single connection point for work across multiple clients, instead of switching between accounts, with every change still sent back for review before anything updates in Gusto. The expanded partner program adds marketing and development support, plus revenue share on 401(k) plans in mid-November.
