Though the mavens of Silicon Valley are quick to espouse the world-changing benefits of the technologies they develop, the developments made at the Agro Food Park in Aarhus, Denmark truly have the potential to revolutionize the world. The site is an extensive, master-planned center for agricultural research, poised to experiment with food strategies that will be ever more pressing as the human population continues to grow.
Agro Food Park was designed by a collection of architecture, engineering, and agriculture firms from Denmark and around the world. Though the academics and businesses working in the park will study a vast array of practices, some of those include experimental greenhouses and vertical farm prototypes.
The complex on which Agro Food Park is built uses sustainable waste disposal, minimizing its carbon footprint and adhering to the principles that the park is dedicated to.
