Privately Taps Johnston Retail Services to Design the AgeAI App

Privately is partnering with Johnston Retail Services to enhance age verification solutions across retail stores in Ireland. Launched as part of the new AgeAI app, the technology will accurately guess age through facial age estimation, allowing businesses to reduce unnecessary ID checks that may cause friction during the checkout process. This tool hopes to reduce underage vaping by enhancing safety restrictions and limiting access to vapes through advanced verification technologies.
