Brian May, who is the lead guitarist of the band Queen and also an astrophysicist with a penchant towards all things 3D, has designed an affordable virtual reality device.

The device, entitled the 'Owl Stereoscope,' is a vivid red color and is compatible with any brand of smartphone. The lightweight device is inspired by the Victorian era which Brian May says will prevent the headaches that can be induced by some technology. The virtual reality device is accessible as it only costs 25 euros which amounts to approximately $28 in the U.S.

The device has several important selling-points including its unique design, its affordability, its lightweight quality and the fact that it was designed by the leading guitarist in one of the world's most famous bands.
