'GE' has released three new superhero-inspired emojis called 'The Supermaterials,' which are aimed at educating a broader audience about some of the company's advanced manufacturing materials. The new emojis were released in time for San Diego's annual Comic-Con and they also appareled in a new episode of '#EmojiScience' with Bill Nye the Science Guy.

The three emojis featured in the series are the Carbon Fiber Crusader, the Super (Hydrophobic) Woman and Captain CMC. Each of the new superhero emojis represents a material that GE is currently using to revolutionize the industrial world, including fourth-generation carbon fiber composites, nano structured coatings and Ceramic Matrix Composites. The purpose of the emojis is to highlight some of GE's advanced manufacturing materials, which are responsible for producing new energy efficient materials.

The Supermaterials are available online or through the emoji app.
