Aside from taking the subway to the beach and hanging out on rooftop terraces this summer, I’m most excited to shed all of my winter layers and stepping into the ever practical and adorable jumper.
These pieces can be dressed up for evening and dressed down for day wear and even beach wear. The sky’s the limit when accessorizing and experimenting with all the different looks you can make. All you need to look chic and literally very put together for the coming summer months is the one-piece jumpsuit/romper that was seen all over the runways.
DKNY showed a denim version with a striped camisole underneath, and jumpers made out of delicate and airy satin were featured at BCBG, Diane Von Furstenberg, Elise Overland, Missoni, and Malandrino. Derek Lam and Proenza Schouler spiced them up with sequins.
As fashionable as they are, jumpers are also accessible and very recession friendly. Urban Outfitters offers a variety at very reasonable prices, as does retailers such as Delia’s, Forever 21, Target, and Walmart.
