The Mississippi Department of Child Protection Services is offering a much-needed child abuse-reporting app, dubbed MDCPS Report Child Abuse, that is designed to empower regular people to submit reports of suspected child abuse.

Developed by innovators at Mississippi State University, this child abuse-reporting app lets users report suspected child abuse in a matter of minutes, and anonymously if they so choose. All abuse reports are directly sent to authorities, who can then investigate them. The app is available for download from the App Store and Google Play.

By allowing people to quickly and easily report suspected child abuse without having to get themselves to a computer first, the MDCPS Report Child Abuse app aims to take a proactive approach to protecting children.
