Japanese brand AA Danto has expanded its porcelain tile offerings with new collections created in collaboration with designer Ingegerd Råman and Swedish studio Claesson Koivisto Rune Architects. Presented during 3 Days of Design, the collections explore different approaches to form, texture, and surface treatment while sharing a common porcelain material base. Råman’s contribution features tiles marked by oversized grooved relief patterns, while Claesson Koivisto Rune’s designs focus on rhythm, modular composition, and softly curved corners.
The new collections are available in multiple sizes and colourways and were developed through collaboration between the designers and AA Danto’s material research team. Each series combines the brand’s technical ceramic expertise with distinct design perspectives. The new ranges continue the brand’s focus on combining material development with contemporary design experimentation.

Why This Trend Is Growing
- Designer Ceramic Collaborations
- Cross-disciplinary partnerships between heritage material brands and named designers are expanding premium surfaces into collectible, specification-ready design objects.
- Tactile Surface Interiors
- Deep relief patterns and softened porcelain geometries signal demand for sensory finishes that differentiate residential, retail, and hospitality environments.
- Modular Tile Systems
- Rhythmic modules and varied size and color systems point to scalable customization models that let standardized tiles produce highly personalized spatial compositions.
Industries Being Reshaped
- Building Materials
- Advanced ceramic R&D is creating room for manufacturers to compete through engineered textures, sustainable durability, and design-led product platforms.
- Interior Design
- Curated tile collections give designers a material palette that blends artful surfaces with repeatable commercial sourcing for high-impact spaces.
- Architecture
- Porcelain systems with modular composition and curved-edge detailing support façade and interior concepts where industrial precision meets softer visual language.
