Yosuke Kataoka Seeks to Enhance Travelers' Experiences

Yosuke Kataoka launches a two-fold project that combines Japanese culture and contemporary jean design. The initative seeks to educate and entertain travelers. The creator seeks to establish an accessible platform for travelers, where they can learn about Japanese culture, while they create their own jean designs under instruction.

The project connects individuals with different backgrounds in the art of sewing. It simultaneously informs them about the beauties and landmarks in Japan, as identified by locals, and allows them to gain first-hand insight into the foreign culture. In addition, travelers will be able to engage in the making of their own pair of jeans. Participants can choose the pattern, the fabric and the placement of details in their jean design and then cut and sew them.
