Samsung recently announced that it will collaborate with SK Telecom, in order to produce the first-ever 8K-5G TV. Currently, there are no TVs that have an 8K resolution and are also 5G compatible, however many companies are allocating resources in order to develop the first 8K-5G TV.
SK Telecom's Chief Technology Officer, Park Jin-Hyo, spoke on the project, "The 5G-8K TV is the culmination of ultra-low latency 5G networks combined with ultra-high-definition TV technology," Jin-Hyo even elaborated on the technology, 5G technology will help make the world of hypermedia a reality."
SK Telecom was also at the forefront of 5G technology in South Korea, where the company helped to usher in the new 5G technology into the region.
