Stripped down renditions of several famous advertisement characters have been given the 8-bit art treatment in this nostalgic collection by designer and artist Michael Myers.
Everyone from the Geico Gecko, the runner from Apple's '1984' commercial to the Old Spice spokesperson have been given a colorful makeover in the style of classic pixelated video game characters -- synonymous with retro video game devices like the original Nintendo console.
The collection was made for the website Copypop and also includes simple animated GIFs to go along with the drawings. This is not Michael Myers' first foray into 8-bit art -- his personal website 'Drawsgood' re-imagines a variety of pop culture characters including those from 'Star Wars' and 'The Avengers.'
