State Bicycle Co. has launched the new ‘State Bicycle 6061 eBike Commuter’ in the US as its first pedelec. The bike weighs 38 lbs 13 oz, supporting up to 330 lbs of weight during operation. State Bicycle Co. alleges that the new ‘6061 eBike Commuter’ is one of the cheapest e-bikes on the market, and there is room for distribution to parts of the UK and Europe due to State Bicycle Co.’s success in these markets.
The bike uses a 250 W rear-mounted Class 1 LG motor that offers consumers five-speed options, held up by an aluminum frame and 160mm rotor disc brakes. The LG 36V10AH rechargeable battery can be repowered in just 3.5 hours. The ‘State Bicycle 6061 eBike Commuter’ retails for $1,499.99 USD.
