Constantin Mashinskiy has been pounding the pavement, looking for subjects to photograph for his latest project, titled '365 Parisians.'
The Russian-born art director has challenged himself to take one portrait a day for the next year. Eventually, he will have amassed 365 of these stunning, black-and-white images of the city's inhabitants. Paris' romantic cobblestone streets and winding alleys are beautifully depicted in black-and-white, as are the interesting faces staring back at us. While the usual suspects -- elegantly dressed gentlemen, mysterious women all in black, studious-looking academics -- are present, the series proves the iconic city's residents to be much more diverse than we might imagine.
The series, which is evocative of classic street photography, is both powerful and intimate.
