Unlike many x-ray works of art that turn out to be beautiful illustrations or paintings, these pieces of x-ray art are made using actual x-rays photographs.
To me, there is something undeniably beautiful about x-rays. Their association with medicine–and by extension illness–attaches a sort of stigma to them. Their ability to see beyond the limitations of our eyes, and to literally look deeper within ourselves and our world, can reveal certain truths that we are blind to. Fortunately, there are many artists who use the x-ray as tool to show us the beauty that these truths contain within themselves.
