Social media fashion collaborations are on the rise, and don't seem to be slowing down anytime soon.

For years, fashion was thought to be exception to the rule, but now fashion houses, designers and brands are getting in on the action. Labels are using social media applications like Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest and Snapchat to communicate with their clientele, reach wider audiences, and generally be more accessible.

Whether it’s debuting their new collections via Snapchat, shooting an editorial with only a smartphone, or simply being inspired by Instagram filters, these designers, photographers and the overall head honchos of the fashion world are capitalizing on the inclusive, often-viral nature of social media to diversify their brands.

This is good news for the general public, who are able to experience, enjoy and share high fashion couture through an accessible new medium.
