From Edible Drinking Straws to Collapsible Reusable Straws
Laura McQuarrie — August 24, 2019 — Eco
In the fight against single-use plastic, consumers have begun to oppose the use of grocery bags, water bottles, takeaway coffee cups and fast food straws in favor of reusable, eco-friendly alternatives like non-plastic straws.
While many brands are now producing glass or metal straws as an alternative to single-use plastic drinking straws, others are inventing completely edible designs made from everything from pasta and hollowed-out carrots to long pieces of candy and wheat. To enhance the drinking experience, some straws are even enhanced with flavor.
